The Swedenborg Open Learning Centre (SOLCe) in Manchester are delighted to be able to offer a series of workshops to help you explore the deeper aspects of your life. Each workshop will include a variety of activities – insights, group sharing, use of cards, quiet time, film, and music. They are gems because each one is based on inner wisdom which, when lived in our lives, shines out like a sparkling gem to those around us. The wisdom is universal and found explicitly in the books of Swedenborg, the great 18th
century mystic. Suggested donation of £5 per workshop.
1. Walking the Angel Way Thurs 12th December 2013 1pm – 4pm
Led by Helen Newton, a One Spirit Interfaith minister and lifelong student of the mystic Swedenborg. Come to explore and share your thoughts and experiences of who and what are angels. How do they bring light and love into your life? What does it mean for you to walk the angel way? A mix of insights, shared experiences, meditation, and the short film “Guardian Angels”
2. Visioning Thurs 9th January 2014 1pm – 4pm
Led by David Lomax, who enjoys using spiritual insights, including those from Swedenborg, in a down-to-earth way. We often carry a vision deep in our hearts – a vision of how we would like our life, our community, our society to be. Starting to share this with others and work on it with them can be a big step, but can make a big impact. We will use a set of Vision Cards to help begin this process.
