Two to Tango

Residential Weekend Purley Chase Spiritual Centre Warwickshire
Starts 16:00 Friday 13 May 2011 Ends Sunday 14:00 15 May 2011

This is the fourth of our series of explorations of the enigmas of Genesis.  Genesis, the first book in the Bible, seems to be a much deeper and mysterious book than most book than most of us realise.  We think it is at the beginning, because it is the first thing God wants us to read in the Bible.

With a good understanding of it we can put life in perspective and from this, all our actions can become part of a meaningful progression towards growing within as heavenly beings.  But we believe that the Book of Genesis has often been misinterpreted over recent centuries.  It is not simply a history book but a spiritual guide book full of allergories, parables, sagas and myth as well as some true history.

This year we will be looking at how God created us equally as male and female from is nature.  The Patriarchs: Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and their wives give us clues as to how to identify with our genders at various levels in order to make powerfully connected marriages.  We shall also explore how the same concept is reflected in all religions, for example, in Hinduism.

Can you see the similarity between letters used in Abram and his wife Sarai of the Jewish/Christian faiths and Brahma and his wife Saraiswati of Hinduism?  These are immensely important concepts hidden in the Bible, which up until recently had been virtually lost to the world.
