In this workshop we will be looking at the great significance number seven has to life and how we live. There are seven colours of the rainbow, and seven days of creation to name but two.
According to Emanuel Swedenborg the great 17th Century seer, the seven days of creation in The Book of Genesis represent seven stages of development of the human spirit. According to the Russian mystic Gurdjieff, the seven notes of the musical scale also represent both the seven stages of creation of the cosmos and the seven stages of creation of the human spirit. we will use these insights and other techniques to help improve our personal relationships.
As well as talks and discussions, a central aspect of the programme will be the inclusion of work in small groups using this 7 stage creation series as a counselling aid.
The leader, David Gaffney is the Programme Director at Purley Chase Centre and is also an ordained Minister. Having had careers both in the construction industry and as a teacher he now takes immense pleasure from sharing his understanding of universal spiritual ideas with others, and helping them use these key ideas, particularly those gems found in the writings of Swedenborg in their own personal development.
