The emphasis on the weekend will be on informal group discussion of the things that interest us as young adults with regard to our spirituality, with plenty of chances to follow up and discuss any issues or questions which arise.
There will also be plenty of time for fun and friendship; Saturday afternoon will be left open for activities within Purley’s grounds or perhaps a trip out, with games, drinks & nibbles in the evening.
Leader: Clifford Curry has had a lifelong interest in Swedenborg’s writings and thoroughly enjoys exploring spiritual ideas of a new Christian faith with young people. He is an ordained minister and through his involvement in some of the New Church’s outreach activity, has appreciated encountering the many various approaches to spirituality.
Hosts: Helen & Daniel have both grown up attending Purley Chase events and this is the third year they have run the January Young Adults weekend. They hope to provide a warm and friendly atmosphere in which young people can discuss and explore their faith and also enjoy a weekend of friendship and relaxation.
