Going with the Flow

Residential weekend workshop Purley Chase Spiritual Centre, Warwickshire, 7pm Friday 1st July to 2pm Sunday 3rd July 2011

USING  VISUAL  IMAGES TO BETTER LIVE  IN  THE STREAM OF DIVINE PROVIDENCE

Having energy and contentment come about when the individual is living in the moment, and experiencing the power of now – not distracted by one’s own take on the past or future, but being absorbed by the needs of the present. This means allowing ourselves to be carried along by the stream of creative life.

The focus of the workshop event will be to show how this might be done. How to really come spiritually alive experiencing ordinary situations from a perspective outside of time, place and self. For we tend to be caught up in how life appears – our own individual interpretations, our own reconstructed memories, our own misconceptions. We follow what self-intelligence sees as the appearance rather than trusting in the reality.

Participants will be focusing on the mental images one tends to use and how helpful or unhelpful they might be. For the images we have in our head have power to affect our feelings.   Do they facilitate or represent blocks to spiritual states?

We can also better learn how to use images to keep in tune with the presence of the divine source. Like Swedenborg’s interpretation of the river of the water of life.

This weekend is open to everyone, whether or not you are associated with the New Church. It is suited to those interested in how to get in touch with the uplifting source of delight and satisfaction, peace and creativity that can inspire and illuminate our lives. Come along and join us and share anything you have learned from your own experiences, no matter what level of  knowledge you may have of the Bible or of Swedenborg’s writings.
